The Hogan Lab is a multidisciplinary research group at the University of Saskatchewan - we integrate animal physiology, molecular/cellular biology and toxicology to investigate how natural and man-made toxicants affect animal and environmental health. We work with aquatic species (amphibians, fish, invertebrates), production animals (poultry, swine) and use in vitro approaches to answer our research questions.
The ultimate goal of this research is to establish acceptable thresholds for toxicants, which can be used by industry or regulatory bodies in efforts to improve environmental quality and animal health. |
